Study On Architectural Design Of The Rehabilitation Room In Children Welfare Institution

Orphaned and disabled children are the main group that children welfare has paid much attention to,and Children Welfare Institution shoulder the important responsibility of raising the orphans and disabled children.With the rapid development of children welfare, children welfare not only meet the need of the relief but pay more attention to the comprehensive development of children’s physical and mental health.The object of study is the rehabilitation rooms in the Children Welfare Institution.The basic is the theory of children welfare,rehabilitation medicine,psychological and so on.The main idea is the characteristic of different disabled children and the need of rehabilitation training.with analyzing the typical cases,the thesis is to find out the method in design of the rooms suiting the training of children’s the physiology and the psychology.The main part is divided into five chapters:The first chapter analyzes the situation of orphaned and disabled children and children welfare in China,puts forward the growing trend,then definite the meaning, purpose, methods in the research.The second chapter studies the domestic and foreign relevant theories, defines relevant concepts about rehabilitation room in the Children Welfare Institution clearly,and analyzes the characteristic of different disabled children and the need of rehabilitation training.The third chapter combines the typical cases,discuss the functional form, planning,plane and the indoor environment,sums up the experience and deficiencies,then point out the factors that affect architectural design of rehabilitation rooms.The forth and fifth chapter is the core, discusses the design principles,planning and states design points in nine kinds of rooms to four types of disabled children.Finally summarizes the development trend and prospect of rehabilitation rooms in Children Welfare Institution.The result of the paper as national standard design 14J818—Children Welfare Institution Standard Design has been examined and approved by Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.The standard design of the rehabilitation rooms in the Children Welfare Institution is suitable for the new-constructed, reconstructed and enlarged project in the Children Welfare Institution and children ministry in the Social Welfare Institution and is a reference for the construction company,the management unit,the architectural design unit and relevant design and equipment enterprise staff.The paper as architectural design theory of Children Welfare Institution is intended to provide the reference and guidance to the construction of form rehabilitation rooms.
