Design And Implementation Of Wireless Meter Reading System Based On GPRS

Remote centralized meter reading system is a hot spot in the field of meter reading.Its purpose is to achieve real-time and accurate automatic meter reading.The thesis proposes a wireless meter reading scheme based on GPRS technology,which can make up the shortcomings of the traditional meter reading.Firstly,the thesis briefly introduces the GPRS technology,architecture and elaborates on its protocol stack.On the basis of the study,the wireless meter reading system is designed.The communication protocol among the data management center,the meter reading equipment and the water meter is constituted.Then,the software and hardware of the meter reading equipment are designed.The micro control unit,GPRS communication module and MBUS bus module are designed.The program of the meter reading device,the GPRS communication control program,the MBUS bus driver and the remote data management center are developed.The socket communication software is realized and the functions of data transmission and storage are realized between the meter reading equipment and data center.Finally,the thesis makes an overall test and analysis of the remote meter reading system.The results show that the system can realize the correct copy of the data of the water meter and the correct transmission of the data management center command.
