At present, the domestic largest rolling mill reducer motor power is 2x7000kw,the output torque is 2675 kNm.the weight is 320 tons.In the aspect of structure and stress, the gearbox of reducer is the most complex part of all the reducer’s components. It not only should meet the requirements of the use of the stiffness and strength, but also to achieve compact structure, easy manufacture, light weight and various aspects requirements.So, we must adopt the advanced design method for structure optimal design.In this paper, the gearbox of special main driving reducer for cold rolling aluminum plate was taken as the research object,its structure was analyzed and was optimized by using ANSYS Workbench software.The concrete work includes the following contents:Firstly,the structure of rolling mill reducer gearbox was studied according to the reducer working environment characteristics and the requirement of assembly type,each of the rolling mill reducer design parameters was determined.and then the structure of the case was designed.The parametric model of reducer case was built by using SolidWorks software.Secondly, the simplified rolling mill reducer gearbox model was imported into ANSYS Workbench successfully by using of seamless interface between SolidWorks and ANSYS Workbench.Through the application of ANSYS Workbench software and the finite element analysis theory, the static analysis of the case was did,and the analysis results of equivalent stress and total deformation under the two conditions was obtained. Then the gearbox safety factor was obtained. Thirdly, according to the static analysis results,based on the optimization design theory and using the optimal design tool of ANSYS Workbench,with the weight of the case as the goal,each part of walls for the box body thickness as the design variables,the structure was optimized,so that the weight of the body can be reduced by 10%.Finally,we did the modal analysis for the optimized box model,and the natural frequency and mode of vibration were obtained,avoiding the occurrence of resonance phenomenon.This article merges the design,building model,analyzing,optimizing into an organic whole,the reliable basis for design and improvement of products were provided.It plays a guiding role of design work serves for others,too.
