Security Research On Iron Ore Maritime Transport Channel Of Our Country

Based on our rigid demand and the high external dependence on Iron ore, iron ore maritime transport channel of our country is facing potential safety hazard. However, the research focused on energy maritime transport channel or oil maritime transport channel. The study on iron ore maritime transport channel is less, because its properties of strategic materials is still controversial. But there is no doub on its impact on economic security of our country, which deserves attention and research.Firstly, this thesis discussed the general situation of iron ore maritime transport channel of our country, like the theoretical research, iron ore market, the layout and the traffic. Secondly, combined with iron ore sea lanes nature and political environment, this thesis concluded the security situation and collected security safeguard measures of iron ore maritime transport channel in China.From two aspects of general and specific factors, this thesis analyzed the influence factors of the security on iron ore maritime transport channel. Again, Comparing various safety assessment methods, this thesis selected structural equation model as the security evaluation method. It choosed ·environmental, course and management as exogenous latent variables, and the security of channel as endogenous latent variable to build the model. Inviting experts to rate the present security situation, this thesis calculated and compared the actual score and the theoretical score.It is concluded that China’s iron ore maritime transport channel is in danger. Finally, as management factor is the greatest influenced factor and controllable,this thesis suggested to consummate the mechanism of organization and management, risk disperse of goods, maritime security and alternative channel expansion and cooperated with the perfect organizational structure, legal system and policy support in order to ensure the security of China’s maritime transport channel.
