In recent years, China’s national economy has maintained rapid growth. It has driven the rapid development of the construction industry. In china, the construction industry is a basic industry which with dynamic and scale, many industries are associated with it, and it has great social influence. Now, around the country has a number of large-scale engineering projects. As the speeding up of urbanization, the resources of urban land are more precious. So the number of high-rise building is rising steeping. But high-rise building projects have many characteristics, such as new technology, large scale, long time, many participators and complexity. So the safety accident has become an unneglectable social problem. It had cause massive casualties and property losses every year. We know that building construction is the key link of the construction industry, also accident prone link. In order to ensure the safety of the construction, and as far as possible to reduce the security accident. To explore a scientific construction safety risk evaluation method is necessary.In this paper, the safety risk factors that exist in the high-rise building construction of the Hebei area as the research object. The unascertained measure theory(UM) is applied to the study about safety risk assessment of high rise building construction. 5first class indexes and the second index of 19 are chosen according to the characteristics and the cause of the safety accidents in the high-rise building. And an uncertainty measurement evaluation model based on the uncertainty measurement theory is proposed for predicting the construction risk of the high-rise building. The weight of each index is calculated by using the information entropy(IE), and the risk grade is predicted in accordance with the confidence identify rules. A high-rise building is taken as an example, the comprehensive risk rating of the high-rise building is predicated successfully and its risk level is shown to be the grade Ⅲ. The risk evaluation for the high-rise building construction not only includes the risk grade of the high-rise building construction period but also reflects the dangerous sources during the high-rise building construction, and provide effective reference for the security risk evaluation of high-rise building construction.
