Study On Coupling Relationship Between Accessibility And Vitality Of CBD Pedestrian Using Spatial Syntax And MATLAB

Since the reform and opening-up, the social, economic and cultural development of China is in a state of rapid advance and there comes the rising and flourishing of city. Nowadays, city is closely tied with the society, economy, and culture. The planning and construction of city has great impact on the social, economic and cultural development. What’s more, the core of planning and construction lies at the CBD and the CBD can be the marks of a city. The vitality of the CBD can improve the city’s vitality and the planning and construction of pedestrian corridor in CBD plays an important role. The accessibility of pedestrian corridor in CBD can directly influence the content, intensity and direction of the relationship between CBD business center and the city. The thesis is on the basis of practical investigation and questionnaire survey and mainly uses the theory of Space Syntax and MATLAB as the analytical tools. The thesis tries to analysis the relationship between the accessibility and vitality of pedestrian corridor in a way of combing the theory and analysis chart. The research shows that there is a positive coupling relationship between the Accessibility and vitality of pedestrian corridor.It means that the accessibility gets high and so the vitality.The thesis is comprised of four parts and six chapters and it systematically states the beginning, process and the final conclusion.First part (chapter 1-2):Literature Review and theoretical basis.Second part (chapter3):using the theory of Space Syntax and MATLAB as the analytical tools, analyze the positive coupling relationship between the Accessibility and vitality of pedestrian corridor in Minneapolis, Central Hong Kong, Canada Toronto and so on. The analysis can make be a great basis for the discussion of the relationship between the Accessibility and vitality of pedestrian corridor in quanchenglu CBD.Third party (chapter4-5):by practical investigation, analyses the pedestrian corridor system of quanchenglu CBD, format structure, passenger flow. Using the theory of Space Syntax and MATLAB as the analytical tools, analyze the positive coupling relationship between the Accessibility and vitality of pedestrian corridor in quanchenglu CBD.Fourth part (chapter6):the positive coupling relationship between the Accessibility and vitality of pedestrian corridor is very meaningful to the further development of CBDThe research mainly analyses the relationship between the Accessibility and vitality of pedestrian corridor and it aims to provide some advices on the development of CBD.
