Polymer Emulsion Curing Weathered Granite Slope Indoor Experimental Study

Completely weathered granite is a kind of soil which structure is loose, and it’s engineering properties are susceptible to the influence of water, more than that, completely weathered granite accounts for 9% of the distribution of china’s landscape resource. In recent years, there are many highway built in the area of completely weathered granite which triggered many slope disaster. From this point of view, it’s necessary to take a research on stability of completely weathered granite’s slope. In this paper, the indoor experimental sample comes from the forth contract section of Daliu highway in Hunan province. The research focus on the completely weathered granite’s engineering properties such as loose structure and permeability coefficient. Based on the research, we put forward a new kind of curing agent of polyvinyl acetate cement composite material. We use the new type curing agent to solidify the sample and take a series of indoor experiment. The indoor experiment contains shear strength test,anti-scouring strength test and liquid model limitation test and so on. We take an optimization adjustment of different proportion between polyvinyl acetate emulsion and cement. Then,we formulated cement-based poly ethylene emulsion of vinegar. We study the physical properties of completely weathered granite and the solid performance of polymer emulsion curing weathered granite through indoor test. When the cement content is 30% and curing agent is 7%, the completely weathered granite which received solidification have a good performance. It’s shearing strength is biggest and it’s plasticity and hydrophile has a significant decline,which means it has a great improvement on it’s water stability. We analyzed the experiment data,such as slope protection age,grade of side slope and so on,that completely weathered granite has a good anti-wash ability.In summary, according to the polyvinyl acetate cement composite curing agent curing laboratory test results,we provide certain reference for the whole weathered granite weathering granite slope protection.
