The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle(Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles, PHEV) is a kind of new energy vehicles which is a vehicle of low fuel consumption, low emissions and long mileage, and has advantages of pure electric vehicles(EV) and hybrid electric vehicle(HEV). PHEV will effectively alleviate the energy crisis and pressure of environmental pollution, and has already become one of hotspots which develop new energy vehicles on the world.The paper analyzes the research status and development trends of PHEV and control strategies, and adopts the logic threshold energy control strategy. Through analyzing the structure and characteristics of PHEV, series/parallel PHEV is selected as research models.According to the requirements of dynamic performances, the key components of PHEV are selected which include the engine, motor, generator, power battery, and their parameters are matched.According to the logic threshold energy control strategy and the efficient MAP figure of the engine, static parameters and control rules are respectively designed in the CD and CS models, and flow charts of energy control are established. Based on the Matlab/Simulink platform, the switch controller of energy control is designed and CD/CS energy control models of the vehicle are designed which include the combined driving model, charging model and braking model.By using the Advisor software, the simulation model of PHEV is established. In the conditions of NEDC and the UDDS, the designed energy control strategy of PHEV is simulated and the simulation results are analyzed. The simulation results showed that the designed energy control strategy can effectively improve the fuel economy performance of the vehicle under the premise of ensuring the dynamic performance index.
