In the modern war, tank and various armored cars will take the multinomial task,such as breaking the line of defended, conducting the deep hit,carrying troop,and so on. Therefore, effectual hitting the tank and armored car is the essential content in the modern war.Millimeter-wave radiometer is rather attention-attracting in the system of identifying ground armoring aims because it could identify the metal aim in land background. At the present time,the developed country have equipped the fuze of 8mm-radiometer,this paper mainly studies the detection system of the 8mm-direct demodulation radiometer,and validates the detecting capability,when this system and simulant target had relative move with the outfield test.The paper analyses and contrasts between Millimeter-wave radiometer and other detection systems,introduces the theory of millimeter-wave radiometer detection,contrasts the superheterodyne full-power millimeter-wave radiometer and direct demodulation millimeter-wave radiometer.In the paper,on the basis of applied circumstance of this fuze,gives need solved problem and it’s resolvent. Designs a system of direct demodulation millimeter-wave detector that can detect the armored target on the ground by the numbers. Detailedly calculates and discuss the every part of the system,such as RF front-end, antenna and signal disposal,and so on. Designs a small size, light weight and low power system of direct demodulation millimeter-wave radiometer that can satisfy actual need. Whereafter, gains a lot of testing data by the many test of outfield,and validates characteristic of the system. analyses and contrasts the testing data and emulational result. Finally summarizes the paper.The analyses and contrasts the testing data and emulational result shows:the fuze detection system of direct demodulation millimeter-wave radiometer identifies simulant armored target had relative move is better than other detection system.the contrast between background and target is higher when used this system.the testing data is closer to the emulational rresul, proves the system realize on the shell is feasibility,have good foreground on engineering applications.
