With the development of CAD technology, the demand for CAD system is higher and higher. To be based on the competitive market, Manufacturing companies have studied design method of high efficiency. This topic develop design system of "QJ2815 carriage", effectively solve the carriage design problems of machinery co. LTD. Like long-periodic and a lot of repetitive works, improve the efficiency of product design, it meets the requirement of modern product design.1) This paper put forward overall structure of the system module design about the carriage, In software engineering view and methodology as guidance, analyzed of system design principle, task allocation, and system development environment, discussed the secondary development tools on Pro/E, research the Pro/Toolkit secondary development method and process.2) Through the study of carriage parts parametric design technology, combined the technology of human-computer interaction design, smoothly loaded the system menu, successfully created the MFC visual interface, established carriage parts parametric design module, able function and ADO technology improved the module data management and access.3) The key technologies of automatic-assemble were studied, proposed a method of automatic-assemble, on the basis of the theory of automatic-assemble, wrote automatic-assemble program about carriage, realized the automatic-assemble of the farm transport vehicle carriage and assembly location of the query.4) The drawing environmental design and view control module were developed, to improve drawing and data conversion functions of the Pro/E, created the parametic template, wrote a Pro/Toolkit program, realized engineering drawing quickly generate and rapid data conversion.This paper solved the practical engineering problems on university-enterprise cooperation, researched Pro/Toolkit secondary development technology, realized the rapid, accurate and efficient design, the system can transform the customer orders into manufacturing drawings in a short time, greatly improve the efficiency of product design, it provide a certain guidance and reference value for other product design system development.
