With the rapid growth of economy and the integration of urban and rural areas, more and more frequently social activities demand on the traffic greatly, meanwhile, city land is highly developed, so the road construction is limited. Therefore, the existing traffic supply ability can’t keep up with the demand level on the traffic, as a result, traffic congestion is becoming more and more serious. While the urban rail traffic with its large capacity, high speed, punctuality, low energy consumption and low pollution and many other advantages,making it become one of the main means to solve the city traffic problem.In addition, with the development of the surrounding area of many big cities, the urban rail traffic as a link between the city center and the surrounding satellite city, so the city urban rail transit passenger flow is composed of many long distance travel passengers, and the fastness of train is in requirement; On the other hand, because of the diversity of the urban rail transit passenger flow, the passenger shows serious unbalanced characteristics in time and space. While the urban rail transit train still stop at every station, which obviously can’t meet the needs of passenger flow characteristics. So, in this paper, in order to adapt to passenger flow characteristics, by optimizing train stop schedule plan to enhance the enterprise operation efficiency. The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)The urban rail transit passenger flow distribution is always unbalanced in time and space caused by various reasons, and the unbalanced indexes are given in this paper. For this unbalanced characteristics, this paper puts forward the optimization measures from the point of stop schedule plan, in order to make the train schedule be consistent with the unbalanced passenger flow.(2)Analyzing the characteristics of the combined stop schedule plan, and combined with the schedule plan of stopping at every station, this paper will establish a model aiming at optimizing the passenger travel time. For the problem of the following train overtaking the former train caused by combined stop plan, the overtaking condition is given and the reasonable positions of overtaking stop are given in this paper.(3)Analyzing the composition of the passenger travel time, considering a necessary condition that the combined stop scheme must save more travel time than the plan of stopping at every station, to minimize all passengers travel time, namely, the passengers taking skip stop train save travel time as much as possible, at the same time, the passengers taking all stop train waste extra travel time as less as possible. Using 0 and 1 describes if the train stops or not, a 0-1 integer programming model is established for optimizing combined urban rail train stop. the hybrid algorithm of PSO and GA is designed according to the characteristics of themodel.(4)The model is applied to an example, and making program by Matlab 7.0. Finally drawing a satisfactory train stop scheme, and it proves that the combined train stop scheme can greatly reduce the passengers total travel time.
