The rapid development of the city caused the increase of traffic demand, the urban transport system, which is called “city’s blood and bones”, has burst with its tremendous challenges. In this situation, the rapid development of social economy and public transportation issues has begun to restrict with each other. In order to reduce the traffic cost, optimize the land resources, reduce the environment pollution and fulfill the dominant position of the urban transport system, raise the level of public transport services is the trend of the times. Therefore, the reasonable plan of urban public transportation in different lines depend largely on the transport organization and the service frequency of each bus line. In this paper, in order to study the different of bus service departure interval, different bus lines’ transfer optimization is chosen as the breakthrough point, the process of passengers’ behavior of lining up to the buses is combined with the queuing theory.First of all, the object of urban regular bus is defined and the functions and classification of urban public transport hub is introduced, the internal transfer organization having the principles of continuity, regularity and efficiency is determined. Then, the passengers queuing system in urban public transport hub is described with n stochastic service model M/M/1.Secondly, a minimum overall time-consuming model with both two object function is established. Before modeling, 2? test method is used and analyzed to test the arrival of the passengers and bus service distribution according to the data collecting from Nan Men hub of Yinchuan city(different peak of passenger’s flow changes is not considered in the data). Based on these analysis, the arrival of passengers and bus are random in real. As a conclusion, the way of programming simulation in urban public transport is introduced for its simulation, which provides an in-depth research. Furthermore, the step interval is set for one minute in simulation to guarantee scientific rigor. Almost every situation in the transfer case is satisfied in programming simulation, the actual state is consistent and the test results of simulation is used to set the initial conditions. In addition, the five bus lines of the Nan Men hub of Yinchuan city is taken for an example to verify the program simulation results and analyzed the results with actual situation. Based on the investigation, the initial frequency of various bus lines are input and by the means of mathematical calculation, the passenger transfer relationship among different bus lines are figured. After the calculation, the information of bus departure intervals, bus service time, bus empty-load rate and passengers lined number etc. are got and analyzed whether they are consistent with the actual history experience or not. After that, the minimum total time model is testified using the results, and the best bus departure intervals of both in different decision makers and the balanced situations of the passengers and bus are found. Finally, some results obtained during the study period are summarized, and the shortcomings in this paper are found which set the directions in the future. In this paper, the queuing theory is used in the simulation and optimization of passengers queuing system in hub, and applied in the real bus scheduling process. The feasibility and effectiveness of the simulation model are verified and some theory basis for passengers and bus dispatchers are provided which have a certain practical significance for the further study.
