The exhaust-gas turbo-generator system is an important part of ship power system, a central and difficult content of marine simulator training. Usually the marine simulator does not include the exhaust-gas turbo-generator system for its complex structure and hard simulating. Based on deep research on exhaust-gas turbo-generator system and compared with simple mathematical model in other documents, this paper builds exact model for every component. Eventually, a complete system is established and utilized into the DMS-2013marine simulator.This paper makes detailed describe about the structure of exhaust-gas turbine generator, focuses on the operating principle of the generator steam and speed governor, establishes a precise mathematical model based on the actual situation. Then it creates mathematical model for other parts of the generator such as synchronous generator, excitation control systems and electrical load. Finally it simulates the generator system in Matlab/Simulink environment, and tests its accuracy in different working condition.In view of the functional requirements of exhaust-gas turbo-generator system, using DMS-2013marine simulator as the carrier, based on a container ship’s parameters, utilizing the self-developed simulation software SUPERSIMS as simulation platform, according to the validated mathematical model by Visual C++author writes a program and designs interrelated interface. It simulates in SUPERSIMS platform and contacts interface with mathematical model, achieves the purpose of ship power system simulation. This exhaust-gas turbo-generator system is just a subsystem of DMS-2013marine simulator. With the addition of it, the new marine simulator will get promoted in its function and containment.
