Implementation And Application Of Engineering Cost Metadata Standard Based On XML

With the rapid development of computer application in construction, many engineering cost software, technical standard production software and electronic tendering and bidding are be launched.They reduce much labor intensity of staff during the construction cost, but many unsatisfactory places appear during the process of using all kinds of engineering cost software:data format between all kinds of software is blockade, closed operation and data can’t conver and joint data. This situation leads to waste information resources, go against the fair competition and hinder technological progress. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate a data standard between data which from all kind of software.This thesis decribs format and content standard of data document based on construction industry engineering cost valuation rules and XML language standard. The standard can generate standard bidding data interface file or used to verify the bidding data interface file which is related XML Schema documents. Main content of this thesis:First, the analysis of engineering cost software at home and abroad and standards in China provide an important basis that this thesis can be studied necessitily and feasibilitly. Then it provides business and technical support by introducing project cost rules and XML language standard.Secondly, in the above research basis, this thesis defines the data standard file format and type, describes each element about the type, the definition and properties in detail.Finally, according to the data standard which this thesis makes, an invoicing software implementation and validation of this standard, import and export file functions, have the advantage of to the Engineering cost software compatible with each other.This thesis realizes separation between cost file data and software. Various cost software can still retain the original operation and characteristics. It can read or save any data if using this standard definition.
