Research On Barrier-free Design For Urban Park

With the advent of an aging society in our country and the rising of the need for thedisabled to social demand, the community is expanding the extent of humanity care, andgiving more and more attention for the elderly and the disabled. People are working toconstruct all kinds of environment where all groups can participate in the socialenvironment, and break through the barrier-free design of architectural spaceenvironment to extend to the outdoor space environment.In this paper, the main purpose of research is to apply barrier-free design to the parkenvironment. In the park environment, both the elderly and the disabled can feelequitable, comfortable and convenient. Mainly based on the approaches of documentaryanalysis, investigation and guiding practice, the following research works have beencarried out:(1) Putting forward the research cause and effect of barrier-free environment, andpointing out the existing problems(2) Analyzing the research status of barrier-free design at home and abroad(3) Through the analysis of our country park,summarizing the defects of barrier-freedesign in the park(4) Application research(5) Summary and prospectThe biggest novel points of this thesis are on the research of the park barrier-freedesign methods. According to the disabled and the elderly behavior, psychologicalcharacteristics,and space environment demand,the paper discusses the design methodsfrom the aspects of facilities and landscape creation;especially in the aspect of landscapeconstruction, stimulate human body through the five senses to create different landscapeeffect,hoping to design the barrier-free park environment, which satisfy their needsindeed. Park barrier-free design not only is the embodiment of the barrier-free parkconstruction level, from a deeper sense,but also reflects the social civilization andprogress to a certain extent. Park barrier-free design is the embodiment of the socialmaterial civilization and spiritual civilization,to promote the construction of spiritualcivilization of the whole society has important significance.
