The development of microcomputer protection technology greatly improves the performance of protection device, but the microcomputer protection device in the visual and maintainability, etc, and the traditional protection gap, main performance for complex data calculation process, motion features and working process of the invisible, unable to get the intermediate results, etc. After failure occurs, operators can only with the help of the fault wave record figure, protection device information such as the event log and fault message manually, based on the experience of accident analysis, so that the current information collection automation, information analysis, artificial such a jarring situation. Unavoidably exist in analysis of one-sided, judgment, and so on and so forth, it is difficult to, movement situation and characteristics of protection form a comprehensive, complete and objective judgment.This paper uses the advanced calculation method and calculation tools, excavated from the recorded wave data useful fault information, and the intermediate results, the final result, protective element features such as presented to the user in the form of visual, improves the reliability of substation fault analysis and processing of data, accuracy and automation degree, research and development mainly includes the following functions:(1) the development of intelligent substation fault data computing functions:finish the calculation of various electric parameters, including automatic fault occurred before and after the voltage, current amplitude and phase of computing; The calculation of each sequence component. Dc component, the extraction and calculation of every harmonic; The extraction of fault component and calculation. Calculation results in the form of a graph and curve display, can be in the form of data files saved;(2) the development of intelligent substation fault data processing function:development including the different characteristics of digital filter, calculate the fault voltage, current, direction of fault, fault distance, differential current braking current error variation parameter, such as intensive processing was carried out on the failure data, the overall grasping of the features of the electric power system fault.(3) to complete the simulation analysis, the characteristics of the various protective device for the same fault of protection components under the condition of different principle features, as well as some kind of protection action characteristics under different fault conditions, and to quantify the relevant characteristics and performance analysis.The proposed substation fault data analysis and processing system, the fault information is used to analyze, relay protection setting value of the principle of the different security assessment. Failure data as information source, the system can not only in detail, the automatic analysis of failure data contained in all kinds of information, can also specifically for the performance of the fault condition of microcomputer protection device is analyzed, on the safety assessment and reduce the security risks of protection operation.Example analysis results show that the system calculation results are accurate, the simulation analysis and field device, component can completely satisfy the protection action characteristic analysis and field failure analysis requirements, also can meet the needs of teaching and training.
