With the rapid development of automobile industry in recent years, M company imported a large number of domestic and foreign advanced equipment, build nearly20production lines by high degree of automation equipment, but in actual production there are many problems rate is not high, low production efficiency, high labor costs, such as unreasonable equipment logisticsuse. Managers gradually realize that to optimize the design of the existing scientific production line is the enterprises to improve product quality, management level, reduce the labor cost the route one must take to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises.In this paper, the application of industrial engineering professional knowledge, to lean production as the main line, the key of production line balance, human motion analysis and combined analysis and other related factors to optimize production line layout, takt time, operators and equipments, combined with the operation and management, industrial engineering, ergonomics, and other aspects of knowledge to study this subject, study on the optimization design method, the crankshaft production line, draw the production line process flow diagram; analysis of the production line of human action with a stop watch method, and make the human motion analysis chart; using5W1H and ECRS methods to optimize production line.
