The continuous development of economy and society, and promote the continuouschange of building use function. The focus of the construction project is also from amassive new stage, and maintenance of new and gradually transferred to the renovationof old building phase, thus building renovation and reinforcement holds a position ofmore and more important in the construction industry, building their own irresistibleaging makes the reinforcement and the increasingly serious problem. Combined withconstruction of old use space of the existing buildings, functionality and aesthetics, etchave already can’t satisfy the need of modern urban development, structure and seismicfortification standard is low, can’t meet the requirements of the new standard, often needfor seismic strengthening construction. In fact, the seismic strengthening itself is achange on the performance of existing structures, so as to achieve the purpose ofimprove the seismic performance of existing structures, all previous earthquake damagesurvey results also suggested that the seismic strengthening to improve the seismicperformance of existing structures is of great significance and effect.Take effective reinforcement measures of buildings and seismic strengtheningeffective combination, which can make the modified architecture to meet therequirements of the new features, and can ensure safe and reliable performance of thestructure and improve the aseismic ability, this is the building and structure seismicstrengthening problem needs to be addressed, and different strengthening methods onthe effects of the use function of building structure and seismic performance are alsodifferent.according to the characteristics of the construction engineering reinforcement andillustrates the realistic significance to reinforce the work, it summarizes and analyzesthe different strengthening methods of strengthening the characteristics and use withreinforcement technology, introduces several common reinforcement methods ofbearing capacity calculation and mechanical principle, combined with the actual projectexample representative reinforcement design examples of different strengtheningmethods are analyzed. Also combining with the characteristics of earthquake andreinforcement technology development to summarize the basic requirement of reinforced concrete building aseismic reinforcement, construction method andstrengthening technology, and selection and seismic strengthening design andconstruction, as a reference for building reconstruction and reinforcement effect.
