In recent years, with the development of our national economy and the expansion of city scale, traffic congestion, traffic inconvenience in the big city is becoming increasingly prominent, and seriously affected the normal life and city development of the masses of the people. City public transport priority was considered to ease traffic problems, improve traffic conditions, improve the transportation efficiency, promote the sustainable development of the city traffic and the main and effective way.First of all, the paper studies the basic method, modern bus signal priority control strategy and control method, introduced the method of modern traffic signal control.Secondly, introduces the bus priority signal control the basic ideas and processes, including single bus signal priority control flow and multiphase bus priority signal control ideas and processes.Once again, from the actuated signal control method to, priority control for single intersection traffic signal is studied, analysis of the green extension control model and green compression control model, and aiming at the intersection of these two kinds of bus priority signal control optimization model. At the same time in order to realize bus priority so that the influence on the society of a vehicle is reduced, improving the transit signal priority benefit as the objective, a new green compression extension combined control model.Finally, the control design is the actual intersection. By using VISSIM simulation software, the timing control, green compression control, extension control and green compression extension with four methods to control for simulation and analysis. The delay model of intersection of calculating four kinds of the total delay of intersection signal control method of reducing weight, and compare.The traffic is not great intersection for green extension compression combined with the model of the extension model and green compression model can better reduce the delay of intersections, implementation of bus priority, but also try to reduce the impact of bus priority on social vehicles.
