Aircraft sheet metal parts has the feature of variety, complex and small batch production,the process design is more complex, even similar parts still need to design again bytechnologist, now the process design method of aircraft sheet metal parts has already can’tsatisfy the enterprise time and heavy task of process design requirements and graduallybecome the bottleneck of improving the efficiency of aircraft sheet metal parts production.With the development of digital manufacturing technology, computers are increasinglyinvolved in the process design. So how to improve the level of computer aided design onaircraft sheet metal parts has become one of the urgent problems to solve in sheet metal partsmanufacturing.This paper based on the aviation sheet metal parts design process as the research object,under the background of CAPP technology, completed the research on aircraft sheet metalparts with the technology of3D CAPP, it realized in the process of aircraft sheet metalprocess planning, based on MBD technology, supported by standard parts library, processknowledge library and so on, it solved the problem of low efficiency of manual processdesign, ensured the product quality, realized process information standardization andvisualization. It realize the rapid extraction of process information, improved the efficiency ofthe process design, and reduced the unnecessary labor technology personnel, shorten the cycleof aircraft sheet metal parts manufacturing, reduced development costs, fully comply with therequirement of the development of digital manufacturing.
