Traditional spiral conveyor when transporting materials in viscous medium, there will be a material and pipe wall caused by adhesion "material gathered " problem, this paper puts forward a kind of flexible discrete spiral blade, as spiral blades of screw conveyor, conveying viscous material. And to transport large and small power consumption for the research objectives, theoretical analysis and simulation experiments by means of a flexible helical blade structure parameters were studied.Accumulation of viscous medium material Angle and internal friction coefficient are introduced, and the discrete element method without sliding contact model, bond contact model of contact model is analyzed, combining with the characteristics of viscous medium material, choose the suitable viscosity contact model of discrete material.Based on granular material mechanics, material mechanics theory, the viscous medium materials and to study the interaction relations of spiral vane, reveal the flexible transmission mechanism of the spiral conveyor leaf. By establishing the mathematical model of medium materials interact with flexible blade get influence the power consumption of the screw conveyor and throughput change rule of structural parameters.In the granular material mechanics software EDEM established the simulation model, import the different structural parameters of spiral conveyor model, including screw diameter, helix Angle, spiral blade discrete coefficients. Under different rotational speed, the flexible screw conveyor viscous medium material process simulation, and analyzes the result, get the screw diameter, helix Angle, spiral blade discrete coefficient and the influence of screw shaft speed on the throughput and power consumption. According to the result of simulation shows that the flexible screw conveyor conveyor viscous medium material, should according to the characteristics of viscous medium material to make the spiral conveyor structure parameters and the corresponding rotational speed, so that the screw conveying apparatus has high throughput and low energy consumption.Validated through the experiment on the theory and the simulation results and comparison under the same speed torque curve, the growth trend of the experimental curves are consistent with theoretical analysis and the simulation curve.
