Along with continuously growing of China’s economy and constantly increasing demand of productivity and efficiency, the speed of the machines become higher and higher, which results in more and more obvious inertia of the moving parts and more and more serious problems of vibration and noise. These phenomenon will affect the working performance and lifetime of the machine. In order to meet the demand of high speed and precision of machinery industry, the issue of dynamic balancing of the mechanisms is of great importance and the further research is needed to search for a new method to reduce or eliminate the adverse effect generated by inertia of the moving parts of the machines in operation, and to improve the dynamic performance of machines.This paper focuses on the control system design of the active balancing reducer. The aim is to realize the active balancing function and deceleration function by adjusting the speed trajectories of control motor of the active balancing reducer. The research includes:Firstly, based on a basic configuration of active balancing reducer, the kinematics and dynamics and optimal analysis of active balancing reducer were studied, and the trajectory of the servo motor was designed.Secondly, the electromechanical coupling dynamic model of the active balancing reducer system was established. According to the model, the control system was designed and the control algorithm and relevant simulation analysis were studied.Finally, based on the self-made active balancing speed reducer test bench, the experiment schemes wewe put forward and the experiment research has been carried out with different control strategies. The results show the effectiveness of the active balancing reducer.By means of theoretical study, computer simulation and experimental study, the control system of the active balancing reducer was studied in this paper. The feasibility of the active balancing reducer on improving dynamic performance of machine was verified. The work done in this paper would provide a theoretical and practical basis for the industrial application of active balancing reducer.
