Research And Analysis Of City Road Traffic Running State Based On VISSIM Simulation

Traffic network as a major service carrier of social development, its stability is directly related to thedevelopment of the national economy. With the development of city, traffic congestion is becoming moreand more serious, and gradually from a single section or intersection congestion evolution for districtnetwork congestion. In order to solve this problem, this paper conducts the analysis research to the roadtraffic conditions from the following aspects.First, summarizing the situation of the traffic state at home and abroad, this paper, for the study ofChinese and foreign scholars and experts on the evaluation of city road traffic running state method, furthersummarized. According to previous research, the traffic condition to analyze the road, simply based on thesingle intersection or traffic conditions to evaluate the area even the whole network traffic condition is notcomprehensive, therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the overall road traffic state or area.Second, analyze the experts and scholars for several intersection delay and queue common model, thefriendly road and new road Urumqi city intersection as an example, using VISSIM software andmathematical simulation delay model, the simulation results of the queue length, delay and travel time data,the calculation results were compared with Webster delay model, and then determine the intersection delayvalue, traffic conditions of intersection analysis.Finally, the old city zone of Karamay city and Urumqi city as an example, the area of road trafficsituation analysis, proposed to the area of intersection import saturation, average speed sections as trafficstate evaluation index, with an evaluation of road traffic running state method of traffic state based on thenumber of new, with the help of related evaluation VISSIM the simulation model output data, analysis ofthe evaluation method is suitable for the assessment of traffic operational conditions of the area road.
