In order to ensure the security of power system, the power voltage and current of power system are monitored in real time. The parameters of power system are record as well, which has important role of realizing the operation of power system and analyzing power quality. Besides, due to natural disasters, equipment aging and various human factors, the power system fault are took place inevitability. According to the data of power system wave recorder recorded, the operating law of power system in condition of fault and normal is analyzed, which has the important effect to prevent and process failure by operator. So, there is great theoretical realistic significance to research the detection algorithm, the design of hardware circuit and recording waveform data.The basic principle and function of power wave system recorder is introduced firstly in this paper. The main task, significance, classification and development status of power system wave recorder is expounded and summarized. Aim at the present problems existing in weakness of power system wave recorder, solution approaches are given, and new innovation points are put forward. The overall design of system is provided, and power wave system recorder is developed.Based on in-depth study of the structure and principle of power wave system recorder, the control scheme with DSP (Digital Signal Processor) acted as the core is proposed. In order to gather voltage and current data, the AD7656controlled by DSP is used. The function of six-way analog signals with synchronous sampling are realized, which ensures real-time and accuracy of data collection. The inconvenience of complicated operation can be solved by touch screen applied in the system According to data storage, the1G memory is external extended, which achieves the requirements of long-time and mass-storage. On the basis of ZIGBEE wireless communication module applied in the system, the function of data wireless transmission is realized. So, multiple recorders netted can be realized by this innovative feature, which realize the function of wireless network control.In this paper, start criterion algorithm and data analysis algorithm are studied deeply. The FFT algorithm is applied for the recorder starting criteria, which makes start recorder more fast and accurate. Through harmonic analysis algorithm used, the parameters of the power factor, active power, reactive power, and so on, are calculated, which make users evaluate the power system conveniently.On this basis, the power system wave recorder is designed and debugged The prototype is tested and test waveforms and data of each function module are given. Finally, the deficiency is summarized and the improvement is proposed.
