With the development and progress of the times, people are generally paying muchmore attention to environmental protection. Cars, as the most essential transport forhuman life, brought unavoidable pollution while providing mankind convenient travel.Although pure electric car was green, environmentally friendly, but its limited drivingmileage determined their difficulty of promotion, so the plug-in hybrid vehicles whichwas more suitable for everyday use came into being. It was not only had a wide drivingrange as conventional car, but also had pure electric vehicles’ environmentally friendlyfeatures, and had the potential to replace the traditional automotive vehicles in daily life,which had a strong significance of study.Under background of jointly undertook National Innovation Project of my school anda company, focus on plug-in hybrid vehicles, transmission selection and parametersmatching were carried out in automobile engines, generator, drive motor, energy storagecomponents and transmission depending on the selected drive system. On this basis, thebasic operation mode, the energy flow were analyzed, then power follower controlstrategy was designed. A vehicle simulation model was established in the environmentof Matlab/simulink, and relative simulation and analysis were done.An integrated optimization system based on Matlab and Isight was established.The plug-in hybrid vehicle powertrain main parameters were optimized by geneticalgorithm. The results of analysis showed that the optimized vehicle hybrid mode fuelconsumption dropped5.37%, maximum grade ability increases1.34%in comparisonwith the last one, and pure electric driving range with maximum speed and accelerationtime are decline, but optimized vehicle performance is closer to designed.The result is proved the feasibility of this matching and optimization method.
