In consideration of market demands like the diversification of product function,individuation of configuration and short order delivery cycle, combining with thecharacteristics of modern design resources distribution, this article presents a rapid designmethod focusing on seriation mechanical products, intensively studies its design philosophy,key technologies and realization process. In the end, taking bridge crane of engineeringmachinery as the object of study, the rapid design system of bridge crane in cloud computingmode is developed and feasibility of rapid design system is validated with the example oftrolley frame.This article briefly introduces to domestic and overseas development of cloud computingand crane design, and briefly set forth the rapid design technique. It also analyzes processingmode of computer application system in detail, summarizes the characteristics and advantagesof cloud computing and puts forward the model structure of application system in SaaSservice mode of cloud computing.A rapid design system, which includes product parametrization design technique andproduct modular design technique, is proposed. Method and principle of product moduledivision are summarized. Module division of complete machine of bridge crane is proceededin a reasonable way.3D model base and the corresponding2D engineering drawings template of bridge craneare established. The basic idea and analytical steps of parametrization finite element analysismethod are studied. The entire process of parametrization finite element check analysis isembedded in the program, and the entire process of parametrization finite element analysis of “parameter setting-check analysis” is realized. Technical route of variant design method ofseriation mechanical products is summarized, so as to elaborate on realization process ofintelligent optimization technique of parametrization engineering drawing.System development environment is researched. Collaboratively designedcommunication mechanism in cloud computing mode is developed. The rapid design systemof bridge crane in cloud computing mode is built, so as to elaborate on the main functionmodules of the rapid design system. Design standards of crane and expert advice areembedded in the program to realize calculation and check of strength and stiffness of criticalcomponents. The publishing website of rapid design system of bridge crane is built as well.Taking trolley frame of bridge crane as example, the entire rapid design process of rapiddesign system of bridge crane is validated and elaborated on the function of each interface,and a series of design results done by cloud workstation is presented.
