Effectiveness Study On The Spatial Morphology Built Pattern Of The East Wing Of The Peripheral Protection Zone Of Xixi Wetland

The Peripheral Protection Zone of Xixi National Wetland Park, which is adjacent to the core area of wetland protection, is an urban development zone, as well as the transition region between the wetland and the city. The interaction of two systems, the wetland and the city, results in the built pattern, which can fully reflect the coordinated relationship between wetland protection and city construction. Current researches related to Xixi National Wetland Park are confined to resources conservation and utilization of the wetland inside the park, while ignores the development and construction of peripheral protection zone and lack of further discussion on interaction between the wetland and the city.This paper takes the Peripheral Protection Zone of Xixi National Wetland Park as the main research object. Lying in the east wing of the peripheral protection zone, it relates closely to the main urban area of Hangzhou and has a relatively complete built pattern. Meanwhile by means of literature consulting, spot investigation and summary and analysis, this paper interprets the spatial morphology and built pattern in order to test the effectiveness of construction. Firstly, the paper summarizes the function orientation of the Peripheral Protection Zone and combs the related control factors, based on planning documents and literature material. Secondly, it converts the function orientation to the verifiable construction goals and decomposes spatial characteristics for evaluation. Finally, for the purpose of accomplishing the construction goals, it analyzes the space-forming elements of the spatial characteristics. With the study above, this paper reveals the interaction and restriction between the wetland and urban construction. It also summarizes the experiences and lessons in the process of construction practice, intending to provide reference and guidance for the construction of the Peripheral Protection Zone of Xixi National Wetland Park and other similar protection zone.
