From the beginning of China’s high-speed railway construction, the train operation mode has been the hot issue of concern to interested parties. Passing capacity is one of the important factors affecting train operation mode selection, it is of great significance to the selection of train operation mode, making reasonable train plan, realizing the whole optimization of the high-speed railway transport organization network that making a quantitative calculation and analysis to the passing capacity of different train modes.Firstly, this paper analyzed the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of different train operation mode from the perspective of direct and transfer, discussed the design method of direct-transfer combination mode of high-speed railway through selecting transfer notes and grading classification of our country’s railway network. Taking the Beijing-shanghai high-speed railway as an example, this paper designed different train operation modes of different transfer ratio, set the train plans of each mode under the premise of passenger traffic structure remains the same.Secondly, given the influence of the factors in transfer to the passenger service quality, this paper established the high-speed railway train diagram drawing model which take the optimal object as minimum total running time of trains and minimum total transfer time of trains, and gave the method of large-scale train graph drawing which combines the drawing method of section rolling and period rolling. On this basis, in order to reflecting the influence of different train operation modes to passing capacity intuitively, this paper built the capacity calculation method based on pressure testing method.Finally, based on the study mentioned above, this paper designed and developed the "Train Operation Mode Design Aided Decision Computer System" which designed for calculating and analyzing the passing capacity of different train operation modes. Taking the Beijing-shanghai high-speed railway as an example, this paper calculated and analyzed the passing capacity of different modes with different transfer ratio, reached a conclusion that transfer organization for a certain percentage of long distance trains can effectively increase the passing capacity of the sections on both sides of transfer station.
