With the continuous expansion of the city, the demand for travel on public transportation is growing; it put forward higher requirements especially in urban railway transport area. Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) using the latest communication, computer and automatic control technology, has become the core of a new generation of urban rail transit train control automatic system (ATC system).The ATS system based on CBTC is an important part of the ATC system, it can automatically supervise the trains, real-time adjustment of running interval, control the signal equipment. Meanwhile, ATS system can provide many interfaces with external systems (such as ISCS), exchange of relevant data of operations, providing visitors guide and other information.This paper introduces the structure and functions of CBTC in detail, analyses the demands and features of interfaces between ATS and external system, and gives a design for this interface, and verifies its functions of interface through the integration test. Finally this paper describes the practice of this module in Chongqing and Changsha, and comprises the functional differences in different lines, and prospects the future of this interface module.
