With the development of the electric power industry, thermal power generating units with high-parameter and high-capacity make up a growing share of electric grid. Large units are usually composed of unit operation mode to the boiler turbine generator. In this operating mode, boiler and steam turbine generator maintains the external load need, and also together ensures internal operating parameters (mainly the stability of main steam pressure). Whether the unit output power and load requirements are consistent reflects the energy supply and demand balance between the unit and the external power grid, while the main steam pressure reflects the energy supply and demand balance between boiler and turbine generator unit. Therefore, for the control of unit, it is particularly important to select an accurate, convenient and stable DCS control system.Shandong Bainian electric power company contains6units with an installed capacity of110gw. In the control field, Bainian electric power company has always employed the control system of Shanghai Xinhua company. The company used X400control system and XDC800control system thereafter; recently, the newest OC600e control system has been in use. The system in Xinhua company is a new products after the acquisition by GE company, which will combine the excellent experience of GE company and Xinhua company, provide users with friendly man-machine interface and logic platform, and complete the control scheme in the work accurately. This paper mainly combines my own experience in several years’work of transformation and debugging, and considers the actual site. This thesis discusses the core technology and experience in the engineering implementation of the system, the safe and stable operation of the system in thermal power plants. Through the test and the use of the system, the safety of system operation has been insured, and the stability of the unit control has been enhanced. Since it was put into operation, the system has achieved wide social and economic benefits for the company.
