Comprehensive Evaluation On Urban Traffic Sustainable Development Of A City Of Hebei Province

Along with the rapid development of social and economy in China, urban trafficcongestion phenomenon becomes more serious, urban environment quality isworsening and the resources become increasing shortage. These problems seriouslyaffect the sustainable development of urban economy, society and environment.Urban traffic system is an important component of urban social and economic system,whose development sustainability is an important guarantee for urban sustainabledevelopment. The coordinated development of urban traffic system and urbaneconomy, society, environment and the resources can only realize sustainabledevelopment in the real sense. And the comprehensive evaluation on the sustainabledevelopment of urban traffic system is an important measure of measuring thesustainable development degree. Through the comprehensive evaluation and analysison the sustainable development of urban traffic system, the coordinated developmentstatus of urban traffic system and urban economy, society, environment and resourcescan be known to guide policy makers to improve urban traffic developmentenvironment and ensure the sustainable development of urban traffic system.Here, the comprehensive assessment model on sustainable development of urbantraffic was established based on unascertained measure. On the basic of consideringthe factors influencing urban traffic development, the comprehensive assessmentindexes were selected from four aspects, which includes urban economicaldevelopment, traffic demand, environment quality and energy consumption.And theassessment system of urban traffic development was proposed. In view of differentinfluencing factors of urban traffic development, the index weight was calculatedthrough entropy weight coefficient method. And according to the actual condition thequalitative and quantitative analysiswere respectivelycarried on. Then, the gradedivision was finished by credible degree recognition criterion, an urban trafficdevelopment level of Hebei province would be ranked by the factor scoring results inrecent six years. Finally, the comprehensive assessment result of urban trafficdevelopment was obtained. The test results through the application practice showedthat the method can carry on reasonably and effectively comprehensive assessment forurban traffic development.
