Sustainable development is one of the international and leading subjects of the scientific development, while the research of the sustainable development of urban traffic system is a new hot topic in the field of transportation. On the basis of fuzzy mathematics method, this paper studies a series of problem that exist in the sustainable development of urban traffic system, and enriches the theory and methods of the system. The main results obtained in this thesis are as follows:(1) Analyzing the certainty model of each evaluation index weight of comprehensive evaluation model in the sustainable development of urban traffic system. Based on the combined weighted arithmetic average (CWAA), this thesis considers the determination method with evaluation index weight when multiple people participate in the evaluation of sustainable development of urban traffic system, and establishes the expert's determination model when the evaluation index weight is considered and not considered.(2) In the method of multi-people participation in sustainable development of urban traffic system comprehensive evaluation model, the common independent decision maker's evaluation model is improved, and the multi-people participating comprehensive evaluation model based on the CWAA is proposed in the thesis. Moreover, the multi-people participating comprehensive evaluation model can be established, which is based on generalized deviation minimum theory under the conditions of considering the index weight and not.(3) According to the evaluation index of sustainable development of urban traffic system, the comprehensive evaluation method for the sustainable development of urban traffic system is proposed based on fuzzy language scale. Finally, the method is applied in the comprehensive evaluation of sustainable development of urban traffic system in a certain city and achieves a good application effect.Finally, the summarization of the research work in this thesis and the further research directions are pointed out.
