A large number of highly qualified pilots are needed urgently with the rapid developmentof our civil aviation industry,however, the traditional approach to training pilots spends a lotof time and money but also unsafe.Therefore,it has a very great practical significance toresearch and development of a safe and efficient economy pilot training system. Virtualcockpit subsystem is an important module in the pilot training systems and is the only bridgebetween the training system and the pilot.In this paper the three-dimensional visualization cockpit system that provides flighttraining for pilots is based on three-dimensional modeling technology and FlightGear flightsimulator system combined with the communication module which is developed by UDPprotocol in TCP/IP and deeply developed on the FlightGear flight simulation platform.. We achieve the three-dimensional model of virtual cockpit after studying and had a depthanalysis of the characteristics and method of virtual cockpit modeling.This model improvesthe real-time and authenticity effect when rendeing by saving in the format of text.We study the mothed to drive the the three-dimensional model of the cockpit based on theFlightGear which is an open platform for flighting simulation,and analyze the andvantages ofthe xml and Nasal used in FlightGear.Then we achieve the configuration file for driving thecockpit model in FlightGear.Based on the udp protocol,we developed the interactive communication module ofvirtual cockpit system with the IO subsystem of FlightGear.This communication modulecould provide a communication function with other subsystem in the pilot training system.Finally the paper has an overview of the hardware and software platform for the virtualcockpit system,the system loads the cockpit model by FlightGear and combines with thecommunication module that based on MFC,this module can communicate with other modulesand be controled by network. Simulation achieves good results.
