China’s traditional culture in settlements have a high historical and cultural and economic value. In recent years, the process of economic and cultural globalization, social values and cultural heritage value of the outstanding minority more and more prominent, but some traditional settlements unique cultural forms are gradually losing the ecological environment and gradually being destroyed, settlements style gradually to urban development, organic and healthy development of this traditional settlement is extremely unfavorable.How to develop in a market economy and reasonable protection、development、 utilization and construction of these valuable resources, causing architecture、tourism、 aesthetics、social and cultural science、geography and other subjects concerned. Traditional Settlement adapt their environment to adapt to the needs of society as an organic social elements and positive survival.In recent "cultural ecology" theory gradually influence of settlement officers thought,"cultural ecology" far-reaching implications, reflecting the adaptation、change、integrate, analyze it from the point of view of ecological theory of how the physical environment and the traditional settlement intangible environmental adaptation modern complex society, the study of heterogeneity settlement environment into modern society provides a new way of thinking.This paper attempts to extract from which "cultural ecology" to interpret the concept of the development of mechanisms for protection and development strategy analysis and red thousand villages, the traditional settlement system evolved from the traditional sense of the physical dynamics of the ecological dynamics of cultural shift. Based on the traditional settlements development mechanisms to dynamically mutual proper perspective to study the update develop settlements in order to "protect and develop dualism" coordinate system, based on re-sort the inherent nature of traditional settlement whole cultural ecosystem evolution and depth theoretical analysis, from a new perspective, a new theoretical approach to deepen these studies sought to explore more suitable settlement sustainable development strategy.
