Since the invention of the computer1950s, computer, electronics and other technology hasbeen applied to the field of avionics, and opened the era of analog electronic control system. Untilthe1970s, the presentation and application of the1553B bus standard of the digital bus technologyhave greatly improving the performance of avionics control systems and officially entered the era ofdigital electronic control system. Today, with rapid development of digital and information, thenumber of single bus technology cannot completely meet the requirements of part of the controlsystem, therefore, hybrid bus technology will be a new direction.This subject makes the avionics bus as the research object, aims to function extantion and costsaving, conbines low-cost and powerful RS485INTERBUS with expensive but stable1553Bavionics bus to improve the performance of the mixed bus. And finally develops a set ofARM-Linux-based1553B-RS485bus interchange device.This paper analyses the transport protocal and performance index of the two buses andproposes the design method of1553B, RS485node interface and control the platform with ARM9.The data from1553B bus is protocally analysed by FPGA-realized RT node, scheduled andprocessed by the ARM-Linux platform, and finally finished message transport by RS485bus andrealised the control of terminal device and information feedback. On this basis, the paper completesthe key components selection and ARM-Linux platform-based1553B and Rs485bus conversiondesign.The conversion device layout process of the software and hardware are elaborated here. Thehardware makes S3C2440as the control platform of ARM9, and designes the minimum circuit,RS485communication circuit, and FPGA focused RT mode circuit; while the software design iscentered on Linux operating system, and based on the hardware, it realises the transplant ofBootloader and kernal, mounting of the root file,and writing of the two buse interfaces drivingprogram and the whole application of the system.Finally, by testing the mode of both software and hardware and analysing the operating data,the data got are accurate and reliable. The test shows that the bus conversion device can completethe data conversion of1553B-RS485, and the project is reliable.
