Automatic biochemistry analyzer is a necessary instrument for clinical diagnostics. It is mainly used in the detection of various biochemical indexes of body fluid. The difference of the indexes contains much scientific information that can help doctors make a judge about the state of patient.Firstly, this paper introduced the general situation, sort and principle of analyzer, and the constitution and principle of spectrophotometer, which is the core part of the analyzer. Secondly, this paper elaborated the content and the significance combined with automatic biochemistry analyzer domestic and foreign development condition, and narrated the automatic biochemistry analyzer principle, constitution and process. Lastly, this paper elaborated automatic biochemistry analyzer electronic control system design with emphasis.The electronic control system design comprises two sections:the hardware and the software. This system is very complicated in hardware, which has many inputs and outputs. Furthermore, the requirement of scheduling operation is very strict. The control system not only realizes the scheduling control and detects the status of instrument, but also collects data of many analog signals of current cuvette. According to this characteristic, designed a multi-CPU control, proposed some measures to guarantee hardware system’s reliability. Based on the hardware circuit designed sub-SCM control software according to the analyzer function request, enumerated some measures to guarantee software system’s reliability. Through the debugging and the performance examination to the electronic control system software and hardware, it is proved that the performance characteristics of this control system were accorded with the design requirement of automatic biochemical analyzer completely. Finally, proposed some improved measures aimed at the insufficiency in the design.
