Power plant project is a combination process of production and consumption, with the feature of long last-time, vast investment, and external relationship. Going forward step by step, there are many uncertainties in the construction project. The uncertainties make risks happen which usually do harm to the implement of the project. So it is very important to apply risk management to engineering project. Nowadays, the study of risk management has become a hot issue in project management field. As the comprehensive social activity in the economy, technique and manage, organizes aspects, the engineering project exists the indetermination in everywhere. The engineering project needs to strengthen the risk management urgently. In the modem engineering project manage, risk management become one of the popular.With years of experience in domestic power plant DCS project in China, this thesis studied project risk management theory in a systematic way, analyzed various risks facing power construction project, developed theoretical system and managerial model for power construction risk management, analyzed and described the process and methodology of risk planning, recognition, evaluation, decision and monitoring, set up risk model, introduced new measures of risk analysis, evaluation and monitoring. Besides, through the ease of implementing risk management of a power plant construction project, this thesis explained the process and method of practicing risk management.
