As China’s accelerating urbanization, city planning and transformation, again themigration and flow of population, the urban traffic of three-dimensional, acceleratinginformationization development of the city. Urban space is increasingly high density and thecomplication, urgent need for signage system can effectively convey information, guidepeople to find the destination. Function of urban public space without a clear signage system,perfecting the guide of the system to clear and effective information communication as thecore, through the review, architecture, and complex information in the visual creativeperformance, is conducive to convey specific information, bring convenience for people totravel. Signage system design and setup of a city, is a part of the symbols of measuring thecivilization degree of a city, is also a symbol of success for the municipal planning level.Based on the investigation of traffic transfer status and the existing theoretical research,this article chooses subway station area signage system as the research object. From theCognitive map (Cognitive map) and the wayfinding (Way-finding) behavior theoryperspective, the second chapter summarize wayfinding process and signage system relationsand the signage system design for the significance of improving wayfinding behavior. Due tothe special structure of the subway station area, pedestrians wayfinding inefficiency in thisarea, this third chapter to the subway station area of spatial structure system is analyzed, andpointed out the pedestrians needs space transformation many times in the subway station,dueto individual differences, wayfinding process will encounter many obstacles. Throughanalysis, combing out the wayfinding mode of pedestrian in subway station are.Due to the special structure of the subway station domain, pedestrians path findinginefficiency in this area, this article third chapter to the subway station domain of spatialstructure system is analyzed, and pointed out the pedestrian because of the spacetransformation in the process of subway station domain way finding encounters obstacles.Research content of this article mainly to the study of the theory of the cognitive map and wayfinding behavior as the basis, selected12subjects, through the pedestrians in Shenyang university of aeronautics and astronautics station station domain way-finding behavior wassimulated, and further summarizes the ChuHangRen domain way-finding behavior patterns insubway station, found the pedestrian in the difficulties of subway station domain, inductivereality environment guided missiles in the lack of information, to guide signage systemplanning and design of subway station domain. The paper design a set of complete stationsignage system domain, as the future is used as a reference for future design.
