In recent years the urban commercial complex is the most popular and comprehensive commercial real estate project, the commercial complexe is called HOPSCA in English, which is he first letter of the abbreviation of the Hotel, Office, Park, Shopping mall, Convention Center, Apartment.Generally considered a commercial complex Include at least three of the above functions, which is a high-efficiency building community with afeature-based, multi-function supporting.It is the product of the times with social development, improving people’s living standards, changing consumer attitudes.Due to the structure of larger size, the cost of commercial complexes is relatively high, and because of its beauty and versatility of the claim, which maybe belongs to the plane irregular structure or facade irregular structure, so the seismic design of large commercial complexes is very difficult work for structural design staff。However, the structural design has a great effect on late stage seismic performance and cost of engineering structures. So, the structural selection and structure optimization in the seismic design of structures are attached great importance by construction side and designers.This paper is about the structure design of an actually large commercial complex in a city. Two structural designs are proposed:the style set seismic joint and the style does not set seismic joint. The structural designs of the two styles are under the requirement of the existing structural norms and the construction norms. The design includes modeling, calculate the modal response spectrum method and flexible time-history analysis under opportunities and rare earthquake, which use the structural design software Yingjianke-YJK. Besides, use the construction design module of the YJK software to statistics the main building materials of concrete and steel consumption of two styles. Then, compare the cost of the two styles according to the city’s2013annual March Market Price.In not consider fully meet the architectural features, drainage,HVAC,electricity and other professional requirements of the premise, according to the results of the foregoing comparison, the final conclusion is:the style scheme of undefended seismic Joint is superior than the setting, and make some suggestions to the design of the same kind of the large size and complex high-rise building.
