The paper researched an anti-collision warning system for automobile based on embedded. The anti-collision warning system is used for the purpose of practical application, and can be debugged and run safely on a miniature vehicle model platform. The system hardware included mainly the ARM11processor, a distance sensor, alarm, OV9650video camera, display and a model car. Using the Linux operation system for embedded system software development, the vehicle warning video data processing system was developed based on ARM11processor platform.The ultrasonic ranging and video camera sensor scheme for the warning system were arranged in the car’s head, tail, left and right in the direction. When the full range of measurement of the surrounding obstacle distance was obtained around the car using the system, the image information around the vehicle real-time situation was able to be found in the same time. When the distance between the car and obstacles around is less than the warning value, to timely warning sound and light signals remind a driver to take steps in time and to avoid the collision accidents. The automobile anti-collision warning system can perform the following operations:(1) The real-time monitoring to the traffic video image information in the head, tail, right, after.(2) The real-time monitoring to the distance from the vehicle or obstacle around is the head, tail, right, after.(3) The real-time monitoring warning can be issued in the vehicle with the surrounding vehicles or obstacles close and less than lm, the video image warning zone at the same time.The paper studies the automobile anti-collision warning system through the miniature Jeep as the actual running vehicle simulation. The simulation process of the system can timely issue ranging warning signals and the video data of barrier surrounding can be displayed on the display panel at the same time.The results show that the anti-collision warning system for automobile, based on embedded research and development, can realize the distance and video image monitoring and warning automobile omnibearing. The operation of system is steady, rapid and clear image display, warning signale timely and reliable. It is possible for a driver to see the image of the early warning information for the surrounding circumstances and to avoid traffic accidents caused by any blind area.
