In the case of the rapid development of civil aviation and high requirements of aircraft continuing airworthiness, how to accurately and efficiently analyze faults and troubleshooting is an urgent problem. As we all know the structure and system of aircraft are very complicated, so aircraft troubleshooting and maintenance take a lot of time and other costs under the condition of meeting the requirement of continuing airworthiness. This paper selects G1000avionics system as the object of fault analysis and diagnosis. It uses FTA and BDD for fault analysis and uses the structure of expert system to design diagnostic system.Diagnostic system consists of the knowledgebase; inference engine and human machine interface three parts. In the detailed design process, the knowledge base is based on the results of failure analysis, and uses rule-based and framework-based to represent failure knowledge. The inference engine is designed according to RETE algorithm. This paper selects Eclipse as development environment, uses CLIPS and Android Software Development Kit to develop knowledgebase and human machine interface. It also includes fault data storage and management functions besides fault analysis and diagnosis. Fault data storage and management functions are achieved by SQLite in Android. At last all modules are packaged into APK files in the Eclipse development environment, so that it can be installed and run on Android mobile devices.
