Strict emission standards and the increasingly severe market competitionput forward higher requirements of dump truck’s performance, also forced theproducers to launch more competitive products. Frame is the most importantbearing structure of dump truck,its fatigue reliability characteristics is directlyrelated to its durability and the ability of safe driving. Therefore this articlebased on the static and dynamic characteristics of TY-2frame, through themodal stress recovery, analyse its fatigue hazard area and its life, it’s verysignificance for the subsequent optimization of the frame’s structure,will cutdown the development cycle and reduce the cost of the test is achieved. At thesame time, it is important to prevent the accidents caused by the fatigue of frame.At present, the main method of fatigue life analysis of frame areexperiment method and computer aided analysis: Experiment method forfatigue analysis usually under the proving ground, so the cycle is long, influencefactor is complicated, cann’t guide the improvement of structure effectively;Computer aided analysis get the load spectrum through constructing roadspectrum and the dynamic simulation, thus the error of its result is biggish. Inthis paper, test the vibration signals of frame under practical driving road ofdump truck independently, combining with the load spectrum statistical theory,analysis the fatigue life of TY-2frame under the practical road excitation viamodal stress recovery method.Set up the model of TY-2frame, Proceed static analysis through finiteelement method including four conditions below: Static bending condition, Ultimate torsion condition, Lfting0°condition, Lfting45°condition. Proceedexperimental modal testing of the frame, using the elastic rope hanging methodsimulated its free state, analyse the modal parameters of the frame between0and100Hz, compare the experiment results with finite element softwarecalculation, the maximum error between them is8.7%, the modal shapes areconsistent. Then, through the TY-2dump truck’s practical road test, get thevibration signals of frame under proving ground road and practical driving road,via processing get the valid data, actuate the truck’s dynamics model. Then,,establish simplified dynamic simulation model of TY-2dump truck, inputdriving load, get the first20order modal displacement under practical roadexcitation. Apply the nominal stress method, combined the parameters of theframe’s material, fatigue analyse conditions associated with loading process offrame’s modal analysis, frame material’s S-N curve is corrected by Goodmancurve, calculate the fatigue life of the frame by95%survival rate.The result of TY-2frame fatigue analysis under practical road excitationshow that the method of this paper can analyse the fatigue life of frame under itstrue working state effectively, is conducive to guide the optimizing andimprovement of frame’s structure, enhance the dump truck’s dynamicperformance and it’s market competitiveness.
