Railway backbone transmission network, as the basic network of railway communication and information network, the stability and reliability is of great importance. However, the existing railway communication transmission equipment has been kept in service far longer than originally intended, as long as aging equipment that reduces system performance, which leads to more frequent faults. In recent years, the development of integrated network management system for railway applications can provide the function of monitoring, controlling and operation of transmission equipment, but in the aspect of equipment performance monitoring and fault warning, it cannot meet the requirements of modern railway communication system for integrated network management. The design of "backbone transmission network performance collection statistical analysis system" network inspection system can realize the acquisition, analysis, monitoring and early warning function of the equipment performance, which improves the ability of equipment performance evaluation and maintenance for the existing network management.Firstly, the investigation and analysis of the running situation and maintenance needs of the railway backbone transmission network equipment is carried on, the function of management system for railway transport network is conducted in deep study, the network management deficiencies in performance monitoring and alarm for transmission equipment is analyzed and the corresponding improvement suggestions are put forward. Secondly, with the research of the railway transmission technology and the theoretical derivation of important impact parameters of transmission equipment performance, the performance of backbone transmission network is analyzed according to the actual demand of railway. Finally, the research and design of the system is conducted and the examples in the actual railway transmission network system are given.The design of integrated transmission network management platform in network layer applies CORBA standard system and Oracle database technology, which can realize the centralization, comparison and analysis of performance parameters in SDH and DWDM system of multi manufacturers according to the specific information, such as corresponding elements, single plate type, slot and so on. The system has the function of checking transmission network status, analysis of the main optical power network and performance analysis of single wave, it can also set the reference value flexibly based on data acquisition, compare current performance to reference value, then alarms when the statistics are over ranged(you can set the alarm section).This system can effectively improve the performance of railway integrated network management in monitoring and maintenance the backbone transmission equipment, which provides a more reliable and convenient maintenance method to ensure the safe operation of the communication transmission network, and ultimately improves the safety and reliability of railway network.
