Research On Intelligent Transformation Scheme Of Hydropower Plant

With the start of the development strategy for smart grid, as an important part of the smart grid power generation link, it has become a general trend to construct and reform the intelligent hydropower plant and match the national strategy of the smart grid construction since that the requirements of production management and automation level of the hydropower plant were further improved. This move would be much more significant to improve the level of the construction and operation of the hydropower industry. This paper built a three-layer and two-network model of the intelligent hydropower plant based on the in-depth study of IEC 61850 standard, the structure and the equipment of the traditional hydropower plant, and the experience of the construction of intelligent substation. After that this paper proposed a detailed design scheme including design, secondary equipment group solutions and secondary system security protection based on the intelligent transformation of a pumped storage power plant.Compared with the substation, it is much more complicated of the equipment and system for hydropower station and the technical standards and specifications still need to be improved. There is no doubt that it still need quite a long time to carry out the construction and reform of intelligent hydropower station since the technical difficulty is much bigger of intelligent construction. What’s more, it would be much more important and necessary to continue learning and improving.
