With the rapid development of the national economy, the supply of traditional energy sources become increasingly tense. The environmental problems caused by fossil energy consumption and energy security has become increasingly prominent, seriously affecting the quality of economic development, become a bottleneck of rapid economic and sustainable development. Important measures to vigorously develop solar, wind, biomass, geothermal,ocean energy and other new energy will become energy conservation, energy structure optimization.Gansu Wind total reserves of about 237 million kW, that can be developed total of about 40 million kW, wind power development prospects are very bright. Gansu Province is one of China’s wind power development in the region earlier, by the end of 2013, Gansu wind power capacity has reached about 7,028,100 kW, accounting for 17.57% of wind energy can make use of total reserves, accounting for 20.14% of the whole network power installed capacity, still great potential for development. According to the development and operational experience of wind farms, wind farm development is conducive to set contiguous style to take advantage of wind energy resources, wind power industry, lowering the cost of construction and operation of wind power, wind power is one way to develop the inevitable choice.Tianshui, Gansu GuPo area is rich in wind energy resources, as the region is mountainous, there are some difficulties in the development of wind energy resources. However, due to less power point in the area Power network, wind energy resources can better elimination on the spot, so wind energy development in the region has certain research value.Tianshui GuPo area wind energy resource estimate capacity of 100MW. This article covers wind energy resource development, the wind farm size, unit selection, wind farm system access solutions, electrical equipment.
