With the increase in investment,the development of the civil engineering and the strengthen awareness of sustainable development in the present of China, there is more attentions have been paid to the renovation of the factory buildings. A lot of factory buildings are hard to meet the demand to improve the production process and to upgrade the production equipment after being used for many years. It has an urgent issue to updating this kind of buildings.Based on the rebuilding project of the Jinchuan Nonferrous Metals Company’s converter workshop, this paper studies on the stress-change of the whole process of a column-cut in the single layer heavy industry building. It summarizes the construct program of all of this kind of rebuilding factory buildings in detail. Then choose a suitable program for the Jinchuan project as to its requirement: Bracket-Girder And Column-Cut without removing the roof by jacking construction. It describes the steps in detail of the construction program and its technology related.This paper divides the whole process of the Bracket-Girder And Column-Cut into three parts: jacking the roof, the construction of the bracket and unload on jack. Five models about the three process above and the original factory and the finished factory are made by SAP2000(one of finite element software) to give a simulation. Whit the analysis of the simulation, this paper try to find out the element’s force state and the change rule. Then try to do some modification and verification to improve the construct process and its technology.Then according to the analysis which is about the stress-change and the displacement-change of the important elements made by SAP2000, for example, the roof truss, the bracket added and the columns at both sides of the removing column in the whole process. At the same time it gives a real-time simulation to detect that changes in the jacking and unload process, to improve the jacking method, unload method and the related technology.To make a further sure that the intersection node of the bracket added and roof truss can meet the requirements of the changing force, this paper also gives a solid model of the node made by another kind of finite element software: ABAQUS. According to the model, this paper makes an analysis from the beginning of the unload to the most dangerous internal force state. In line accordance with a lot of experience and relevant literature, it summarized the security incidents could be occurred, the collapse for example. Then do some reverse analysis based on the security incidents and try to find out the factors. Then taking preventive measures makes sure the construct process safe and successful.
