In normal circumstances, dam foundation almost has differentdirections and property cracks, joints and weak structural plane. If thoseplane perforating a sliding path under pressure, it will lead to the gravitydam slide and threat the life and property of the downstream people. Sothe deep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam researching is verynecessary.Numerous of scholars and experts of our country have doneamount of research for deep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam. Due tothe complexity of deep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam, that in thecalculation of deep anti-sliding stability the interaction effect of theseepage field and stress field has not yet formed a unified specification.So further discussion contained coupling of seepage and stress duringanalysis of deep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam is needed.The calculating of coupling of seepage and stress was appliedduring analyzing the deep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam, usingelastic-plastic finite element strength reducing method, under the ANSYS finite element software.The main contents researches are as follows:Firstly, the research status of coupling of seepage and stress anddeep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam were reorganized. Thereasonability and maneuverability of coupling of seepage and stress byANSYS were analyzed on the basis of refer to a large number ofdocuments.Secondly, an elastic-plastic calculation model of overflow gravitydam of Qingyu reservoir was established based on the ANSYS. Then thesafety factor of deep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam under singleseepage field, single stress field and seepage-stress coupling field werecalculated by finite element strength reducing method. Among them, thesingle seepage field refers to calculating uplift pressure of dam basewithout coupling of seepage and stress, after that the safety factor ofdeep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam was calculated under gravityand water load with the uplift pressure applied to dam in the form ofvolume force. The single stress field refers to calculating the safetyfactor of deep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam only under gravityand water load without seepage effect. The seepage-stress coupling fieldrefers to couple iterating until convergence with coupling of seepage andstress, after that the safety factor of deep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam was calculated under gravity and water load with the uplift pressureapplied to dam in the form of volume force and seepage pressureapplied to dam foundation in the form of nodal forces.Finally, through analyzing the stress and strain distribution of damand foundation under those fields and the safety factor of deepanti-sliding stability getting the effect of coupling of seepage and stressto the deep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam.The safety factor of deep anti-sliding stability of Qingyu reservoirgravity dam is2.6and the safety factor under coupling of seepage andstress field is less than the single stress field were gained by analyzingthe deep anti-sliding stability of gravity dam under coupling of seepageand stress by the ANSYS. The safety factor calculation result has thereference value for engineering and analysis method and the conclusionhas the significance of theoretical research.
