In recent years, with the speeding up of urbanization in our country, Chinese urban rail transit business has entered a rapid development period, but as a result of a large number of urban rail transit lines in operation and the complexity of the vehicle is higher and higher, metro vehicle failure rate also greatly improve accordingly. Therefore, real-time fault diagnosis and system reliability assessment for the subway, to find the problems as soon as possible and ensure the security of the train operation, has become a problem to be solved.Combining the current method of the fault diagnosis system of urban rail transit vehicles at home and abroad and the existing method of system reliability analysis, this thesis puts forward a desired solution of the metro vehicle, called remote diagnosis expert system on the ground. The program is composed of three parts, the data transmit-receive interface, database and human-computer interaction interface (HMI). Data transmit-receive interface is used to receive and analyze fault information and state information of the metro vehicle. Database directs to store the related data. Human-computer interaction interface fulfills to analyze the system reliability, diagnose fault, etc. The subway staff can distinctly understand how the subway works by the system.Based on remote diagnosis expert system on the ground of subway vehicle, firstly, with reliability block diagram method, this thesis demonstrates the construction of the reliability model of traction system and AC power supply system, the calculation of element reliability index, and the reliability assessment of traction system and AC power supply system. Then, the thesis introduces the feature and design of each module in detail, it mainly consists of the development and design of the data transceiver interface, the function and construction of real-time database, and the design of human-computer interaction interface. The design of human-computer interaction interface includes real-time fault diagnosis, system reliability evaluation, historical data query, Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL), data trend analysis and others. Finally, the expert system is accomplished.In the end, by the method of simulation vehicle communication and control network, the test platform of the remote diagnosis expert system on the ground is set up in the lab. The function of analog data, fault data, historical data query, and electric system reliability evaluation are tested and analyzed by experiment. In addition, the experiments have showed the validity and feasibility of each function module of them.
