Heating cost allocation based on the area plays a dominant role in current China. However, it seems to be an unreasonable charging method to thermal companies, family users and our country as it fails to encourage people’s consciousness of energy saving. In this circumstance, the state conducts a series of reforms of central heating system, actively promote the individual temperature control and heat metering. With the promotion of central heating-household metering mode, heat metering and temperature control system will form a large-scale industrial structure, having broad market prospects. Heat meter, thermostat and MBUS are the most important components for this system. Compared with the traditional mechanical heat meter, ultrasonic heat meter has incomparable advantages; it has become the development focus in heat meter industry. This article puts forward the solution for the current stability problems of ultrasonic heat meter by researching the waveform tracking technology, zero correction, and temperature compensation. Meanwhile, it makes the heating measurement and control achieve integration and strengthen the stability by designing and developing the thermostat, MBUS hardware interface and software protocols and LAP program. The main content of this paper is as follows.The reliability design of the ultrasonic heat meter. The reliability of the heat meter measurement makes it possible for the heat metering and temperature control system being widely used. However, due to the current domestic production, manufacture and use of environmental limits, the equipment for heat meter cannot guarantee good performance, affecting its measuring accuracy. Therefore, this topic concerning the waveform tracking technology, zero point correction and temperature compensation to improve the reliability of heat meter. Waveform tracking technology can reasonably select zero point by tracking ultrasonic echo signal from the hardware circuit. Zero point correction and temperature compensation is to improve heat meter accuracy under small flow and different temperature points.The thermostat design. Thermostat is the user interface of the system, receiving the user’s setting and feedback to the user information, such as temperature, state of the valve, in order to realize the control of the system. Display, communication, temperature measuring and control valve are the main design parts.MBUS interface hardware and software design. Traditional manual meter reading has been eliminated, and this topic implements remote server access to systems and control by the software and hardware design of MBUS, to make it become a real measurement and control system. In order to realize the system remote upgrade, renovation and improve the stability, it also develops a set of the IAP program.
