With the rapid development of economy, the demand for power users, showing a growing trend, by strengthening the basic construction of the electric power industry itself, can expand the existing scale of power system. Power system as the infrastructure of national economy, power grid construction cycle is long, has the characteristics of large investment, planning and failure may cause great harm to the national economy and the social economy, the operation of power grids. Planning of power system is correct, reasonable to maximize savings of capital investment,promote the healthy development of the national economy and other industries, other industries to improve the economic benefit and social benefit, therefore, has certain practical significance for distribution network planning.This paper is based on the characteristics of distribution network planning and optimization of operation, the use of intelligent optimization algorithm, and combined with the geographic information system, the research of distribution network planning optimization problems.The specific content of the study: optimization algorithm in intelligent, with GIS database as the platform, give full consideration to the influencing factors of the planning location of geographic information, collection of electronic map in a certain area, from grade one and grade two, the establishment of road layer, network topology, as a basis for analysis of distribution network, and the research area for many years load data, fault data information collection, identify planning area, the area of the load center. Finally, programming, and the selection of the preferred area for power flow calculation.
